Ingredients:
½ cup of unsalted butter at room temperature
½ cup of powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
½ tsp of vanilla extract
¾ cup and 2 tbsp of plain flour
2 tbsp of cornstarch
Fruit jam of your choice (chocolate spread works too)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350ºF
Cream softened butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy
Add egg yolk and vanilla extract and mix until well combined
Mix in flour and cornstarch until well combined
Roll dough into 12 balls and use two thumbprints to create a heart shape in the center of the dough
Add filling to the thumbprint
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
Let cool
