This year, Helios introduced a new website after noticing flaws in its online presence. The previous Helios website existed for many years, but due to the outdated software, it was aesthetically unappealing. Additionally, very few people were aware of the website’s existence.
Over the summer Editors-in-Chief Olivia Levine, Sylvia Zeltzer, and Philip Efron brainstormed ways to rebrand Helios, ultimately deciding to redesign the website. When the school year began, the Helios Editorial Board and faculty advisors Penny Ratcliffe and Jodi Posner strove to execute their vision. The staff held several meetings discussing with whom to talk, what to change, and the overall goal for how the website should look.
In early September, Director of Communications Gabe Godin and other faculty helped install the new software. Olivia Levine worked to transfer past articles to the new website, and the Online Editors now work to keep the website updated by publishing recent issues.
Helios members are extremely excited about this development, and we encourage you to check it out!
