Ingredients:
- ½ cup of unsalted butter at room temperature
- ½ cup of powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- ½ tsp of vanilla extract
- ¾ cup and 2 tbsp of plain flour
- 2 tbsp of cornstarch
- Fruit jam of your choice (chocolate spread works too)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF
- Cream softened butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy
- Add egg yolk and vanilla extract and mix until well combined
- Mix in flour and cornstarch until well combined
- Roll dough into 12 balls and use two thumbprints to create a heart shape in the center of the dough
- Add filling to the thumbprint
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
- Let cool
