With summer right around the corner, a significant question comes to mind: where should I hang out? Well, fret no more, because I’m here to tell you the best summer spots in the city!
My first, must-go-to spot is Central Park. Shocking, I know, but nothing beats a relaxing walk in the park with a warm sun and fresh breezes.
During out-lunch, many students are accustomed to spending their time in the grassy Waterline area, but in the heat, the stench left behind from dogs can feel unbearable…
Instead, take a walk to the new pier right near Heschel! Pier 97, located on West 57th, features beautiful architecture, a waterslide, a huge playground, and more! This project was underway for 20 years and is finally open. The pier can get crowded, but if you go on a random out-lunch or at an odd time of day, it should be beautiful.
Aside from these spots, which are all walking-distance from Heschel, you should try taking a walk in your neighborhood, relaxing on the roof of your building, listening to summery music, and eating at local smoothie shops! Romanticize your summer by trying any and all summer activities and locations.
