Craving some delicious pasta after a long day of school but too tired to make anything too extravagant? Follow this simple and straightforward recipe to make the most delicious pasta dish!

What you need:

  • Pasta of your choosing
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion ~ ⅓ a cup (diced)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic (minced)
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (can add more or less based on personal preference)
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoon butter (salted or unsalted)

Instructions:

  1. Fill a medium-sized pot ¾ of the way full with water. Follow the directions on the pasta box.
  2. While pasta is cooking, begin heating vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onions and saute for 2 minutes or until lightly browned.
  3. Add garlic and continue mixing for 30 seconds. Switch to low heat
  4. Stir in tomato paste for one minute. It may look weird but don’t worry, you are doing it correctly.
  5. Measure the heavy cream and add it to your mixture. Once smooth, add chili flakes and let sit for 2 minutes.
  6. Add water, butter, and parmesan. Reduce heat to low.
  7. Add pasta and stir continuously for 1 minute.
  8. Remove the dish from heat, put the pasta in a serving dish, and top off with parmesan cheese.
  9. Enjoy!
