Bundle Up in the Comfiest Coat Available

As temperatures drop and winter rapidly approaches, the search for the ultimate coat begins. Whether walking to school, sprinting to catch the train, or merely taking two steps in the blistering cold, a warm, comfortable, and stylish coat is essential.

According to a school-wide survey, the most popular winter coat is the Aritzia Super Puff. Countless students rave that it is extremely warm and stylish.

“The Super Puff keeps me warm and is super fashionable,” junior Olivia Levine said. “I love the inside pocket, and the pockets on the outside are really fuzzy.” She pointed out that the coat is not particularly durable and is susceptible to dirt, though it is quite easy to clean.

Freshman Claire Mendelsohn said, “The Super Puff is so comfortable. I love the fit!”

Junior Lila Ninansi commended the unique features of the Super Puff: “I love the hand-warming thumb holes. They keep my arms and hands very warm and insulated. I also love the cinch on the hood and the height of the neck.”

Other crowd favorites include the North Face Puffer Jacket, appealing to both a male and female audience.

“My North Face puffer kept me warm in negative 44-degree weather,” junior Anabelle Gonosky said. “Not only is it warm, but it is also comfortable and cute.”

Junior Jacob Zucher agreed, noting that the coat’s one flaw is that it absorbs water quite effectively and thus takes a long time to dry when it rains or snows.

Students also complimented Patagonia and Columbia jackets for their warmth, vast storage compartments, and distinctive useful features.

Junior Lior Shimoni commended the versatility of his Columbia jacket. “I love my Columbia coat because I can remove one of its layers and get a lighter jacket for when it’s warmer out,” she said.

Junior Shoham Zucker said, “My Patagonia coat is my favorite because it has many cool zippers and pockets–great stash spots!”

Some bold members of the student body even opt to wear no coat. “I don’t do coats; I just put on lots of layers,” junior Zephan Ryan said.

Investing in a quality winter jacket is necessary to survive chilly winters in New York. Luckily, there are many amazing coats on the market that will not disappoint!
